Whiplash

Description

Whiplash usually refers to the rapid forward and backward motion of your neck or back following a car accident, sports injury of physical assault. When the impact occurs your muscles and connective tissue surrounding your spine tighten to try to protect it. The return force, when you are thrown in the opposite direction, causes injury to the tightened muscles and connective tissue.

This can cause inflammation, pain and stiffness in multiple areas. Nerves can also be injured causing altered sensation in your arms or legs.

At Physiotherapy Ltd we will provide a thorough examination and a bespoke treatment plan to help reduce the inflammation, reduce your pain and get you back to normal movement.
