Conditions We Treat

Incontinence

Description

We are all made to believe that having a little accident when you cough or sneeze, run or jump or even laugh is all part of growing older or a natural thing that happens after you have had children. However this is simply not true.

Your bladder and bowels are controlled by a group of muscles known as your core stability muscles which include your pelvic floor. Just like any other muscle they become weak over time and forget how to work correctly. But just like any other muscle they can be retrained and strengthened. This can help you gain back control of your bladder and bowel and get you back to all of life's pleasures without having to think about where the nearest toilet is, or if you have enough pads.

Many factors can effect how your pelvic floor and core stability muscles are working including the position of your pelvis, if your lower back and abdominal's are functioning correctly, or even if your pelvic floor is too tight.

At Physiotherapy Ltd after a thorough examination we will be able to identify the cause of your symptoms. We will then be able to provide you with a bespoke treatment plan. We also work closely with Body Reflexion's who offer Holistic Core Restore (R) course to help you get your fitness back (without those little accidents).
